About Rock Climbing: Sacred Valley – Lamay

Lamay is one of the picturesque towns in the Sacred Valley of the Inca, that also boasts a sport climbing area. This crag has routes of various levels as well as great weather and privileged landscapes.  This tour is perfect for beginner climbers as well as those with previous experience, since there are a variety of routes of different grades.

Itinerary

We depart from the hotel this morning to drive to Lamay, a town located in the Sacred Valley of the Inca, approximately an hour from Cusco.  When we arrive to the climbing crag, the instructors will give a short briefing about the equipment and safety considerations for the day.  We will spend the day climbing various routes based on preferred level of difficulty, since there are a variety of grades (5a-7b), route height (10-30m approx.) and style (slab, overhang), to make this adventure even more exciting. We will take a break for lunch and continue climbing until we get tired again, before returning to Cusco.
